About Jeff Aquino

Before returning back to Canada, I worked in L.A. in post production and VFX for well over 10 years at commercial studios such as MotionTheory/Mirada and ArsenalCreative. I lead teams for Saatchi and Saatchi on national TV campaigns, a 24-hour turn around Team One Lexus Super Bowl spot, and VFX lead on the massive mega series of Call of Duty game reveals, trailers, and teasers. I then moved to Canada in 2018 to get working in the growing TV and film industry in Vancouver but also to build Mr. Wolf Vancouver from the ground up. From engineering the entire networking and servers to running shows. I've had the opportunity to work as VFX lead on some shows such as CW Channel Zero, CW Charmed, and  Amazon's The Boys. When not in front of the computer I enjoy practicing Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, going bouldering, and spending family time.

I’ve gained valuable experience by working on some great projects throughout my career. I’m motivated, reliable, and detail oriented, and enjoy working closely with other creative professionals to craft compelling stories. Whenever I work on a project, I’m always focused on collaborating to the bring out the best high quality images. This simple yet crucial detail has led me to find work in some truly amazing projects.

Social Distance - A Netflix Show

Not many productions we're happening in the beginning of the pandemic, shows were stopping production or not starting at all. Luckily I had a chance to work on Social Distance. A show about the world were currently living in. What was a new twist on the show was the anthology show was shot by the actors themselves. The show consisted of a fair amount of on screen graphics. I help bring these animations to life and and added drama to the show. Hit the thumbnail to see the trailer.

Channel Zero S4: The Dream Door

Mr. Wolf Vancouver we're the main vendors for this season with show runner Nick Antosca. We did 90% of the VFX for this show. Not only that we moved Mr. Wolf Van to another office in the middle of the post production schedule with more room to take on more artist. With a team of over 10 artists we handled over 300 shots. Some of which included a long living room monster attack with extremely accurate blood continuity over the walls and floors, under water monster explosions, and full blown chainsaw to the head fx shots. Lots of fun on this one. Hit the thumbnail to see the trailer.

Call of Duty: Infinite

One of the biggest video game reveals of the year. I lead a team in getting this trailer released to the millions of CoD fans around the world. Like many of the previous CoD trailers, this one had a tight turnaround with changes to editorial up to delivery time. I handled all the onlining, color grading, and many of the vfx enhancements to the game footage. Leading a team of up to 5, were able to deliver this project in record time.
